As veterans of the school industry, Ed Routzong and Dean Bailey were aware that family owned school businesses historically had only limited opportunity to exit the business with substantial payment for their business (and real estate). In 1994, Bailey and Routzong recognized that the larger companies in the industry were converting to public ownership and would have to accelerate growth by acquisition to meet shareholder demands. This industry change created the environment that would allow astute sellers a vehicle to realize enhanced value for their business and real estate assets.
With more than 70 years of combined experience as school operators and facility developers, Bailey Routzong has provided family business owners the professionalism and expertise to enhance their asset values and achieve their financial goals. Since 1994, we have sold more than 300 individual schools and related real estate (lease and sales transactions) totaling over $800 million dollars.
